On Monday, Netflix dropped a trailer for the fourth season of its series Lupin, starring Omar Sy as a 'gentleman thief' named Assane Diop. Lupin part 4 follows Diop after his four-year-long prison sentence. As Diop, also known as Lupin, looks to begin a fresh life with his family, a mysterious thief with methods similar to his emerges out of nowhere, forcing him to return to action. "Assane proclaims his innocence, but everything points to his guilt. To prove his innocence and unmask the copycat, Assane must escape and don the Lupin costume once more," reads an excerpt from Netflix's official synopsis.

Inspired by author Maurice Leblanc's Arsène Lupin character, the series is created by George Kay alongside François Uzan, as well as with the involvement of Florent Meyer, Tigran Rosine, and Marie Roussin. Besides playing the lead role, Omar Sy also serves as a showrunner alongside Louis Leterrier

In addition to Omar Sy, Lupin part 4 stars Ludivine Sagnier, Soufiane Guerrab, Antoine Gouy, Théo Christine, Laïka Blanc-Francard, and Shirine Boutella. The directors for the fourth season, which Netflix describes as part four, include Edouard Salier, Hugo Gélin, and Everardo Gout. On the other hand, the writers include Mathilde Arnaud, Rosine, Jean-Yves Arnaud, and Meyer.

The first season of Lupin premiered on Netflix five years ago. Over the years, it has become one of the best-known shows of the streamer in the non-English category. If you take the English dubbed version into account, it ranks among Netflix's biggest-ever series.

The series comes from producers Gaumont in collaboration with Carrousel Studios. Its fourth part comprises of eight episodes and is set for an October 23 release on Netflix. Speaking about it, Sy said to Netflix, "I often say that Lupin is an extraordinary plaything. I find great joy in it every time."
