Eruma Saani-fame Vijay Kumar Rajendran is an aspiring chef who has a passion for cooking, but his dreams are curtailed by Thalaivasal Vijay's character, executive chef Nedumaaran, who is stringent about his kitchen in the trailer of Resort. The trailer for the JioHotstar original series was unveiled on Monday.

The trailer opens with Vijay Kumar joining RR Resort as a new employee. He goes about his duties in a quirky, light-hearted manner, much to the annoyance of guests who file complaints against him. Though he works in housekeeping, his ultimate dream is to become a chef, a dream he proudly shares with his family back home, even telling them that he already is one.

In one amusing sequence, he sneaks into the kitchen and imagines himself as a cook, only to be slapped and thrown out by the strict head chef Nedumaaran, who then orders the trained cooks to clean up. When his friends question why he’s so determined to enter such a rigid kitchen, he proves his talent by cooking for them and boldly declares that one day he will earn his place there. The series promises to be a wholesome entertainer packed with drama, comedy, romance, and more.

Vijay Kumar Rajendran has also written the series which is directed by Praveen Bennett.

The series also stars Abeneya Nethrun, Dharshna Sripal Golecha, Ebi Rajhn, Vishnu Bala, Dhanyaa Pallath, Giri Dwarakish, Lallu, Badava Gopi, Soundarya Saravanan, and Priya Krishnan, among others.

More details about the series' crew, genre, plot and number of episodes are yet to be disclosed by the streamer. Resort is all set to premiere on JioHotstar on March 13 with four episodes. Every Friday, four new episodes of the series will be unveiled.
