OTT Platform Peacock released the first teaser of the upcoming series The Miniature Wife, starring Elizabeth Banks and Matthew Macfadyen in lead roles and it shows the couple having to deal with a "small" issue that has caused a mighty shift in their relationship.

The short 50-second teaser sees Lindy (Banks) waking up shocked after discovering that she has been shrunk to the size of a doll due to a scientific accident. The rest of the video shows her trying to stay alive and fed, while also struggling to navigate the issues she has with Les (Macfadyen).

The series is described as "A high-concept marital dramedy examining the power (im)balances between spouses, Lindy (Banks) and Les (Macfadyen), who battle each other for supremacy after a technological accident induces the ultimate relationship crisis." The series, from showrunners Jennifer Ames and Steve Turner, is based on a short story written by Manuel Gonzales.

The Miniature Wife also stars O-T Fagbenle, Zoe Lister-Jones, Sian Clifford and Sofia Rosinsky. Ronny Chieng, Aasif Mandvi, Rong Fu and Tricia Black appear in recurring roles.

The lead actors Banks and Macfadyen will also executive produce The Miniature Wife, alongside Michael Ellenberg and Lindsey Springer.

All 10 episodes of the upcoming series will be released on Peacock on April 9.
