Unlike its predecessor Dhurandhar (2025), which arrived on OTT exactly after 8 weeks of theatrical run, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is likely to enjoy its theatrical glory a little longer. Amidst the film’s staggering performance at box office, reports are now coming in that the Dhurandhar 2 makers are planning to postpone their film’s OTT premiere by a week or two.

According to some reports, Dhurandhar 2 will now have its OTT premiere either in last week of May or first week of June. The Ranveer Singh starrer sequel will be streaming on JioHotstar, as opposed to the first part of the franchise which is streaming on Netflix.  The delay in OTT release plans have reportedly come up due to the IPL season which is scheduled to continue well into the last leg of May. 

An official statement is yet to arrive, either from the makers or the streamer.

Meanwhile, the Aditya Dhar directorial continues to break records at the box office. Earlier this week, the film surpassed the domestic nett figures of Baahubali 2 (2017), now only trailing behind Pushpa 2: The Rule. 

In terms of international box office, Dhurandhar 2 is likely to surpass the figures of both Pushpa 2 and Baahubali 2 by the time Hindi industry has its next big release Bhooth Bangla, which arrives on April 17.
