Bakasura Restaurant, the horror-comedy which had a theatrical release in August, is now gearing up for its OTT premiere. The film will begin streaming on SunNxt on September 12, the streamer announced on Friday.
Directed by debutant SJ Shiva, Bakasura Restaurant featured Praveen and Shining Phani in the lead roles, Harsha Chemudu in an extended cameo and actors like Krishna Bhagavan, Garuda Ram, Srikanth Iyengar, Uppena Jayakrishna, Vivek Dandu, Prachi Thakur, and Jabardasth Apparao in the supporting cast. The film promisingly tells the story of a group of friends who, with their tall ambitions of arranging money to open a restaurant, end up invoking the spirit of a gluttonous demon named Bakasura who then wreaks havoc in their lives.
The film was produced by Lakshmaiah Achari and Janardhan Achari under the SJ Movies banner. The technical crew for Bakasura Restaurant includes cinematography by Bala Saraswati, editing by Marthand K. Venkatesh, and music by Vikas Badisa. Sai Dhamari is credited as the co-writer. Art direction is by Sri Raja CR Thangala.
The horror-comedy will be available for streaming in Telugu and Tamil.
