Netflix unveiled the trailer for Toxic Town, their upcoming British drama miniseries. Written by Jack Thorne, the series follows the story of three mothers involved in the Corby toxic waste case.

The trailer shows young pregnant women who give birth to children with disabilities. On thinking why their children have such challenges, they wonder if the toxic waste in their town is the reason for the lack of development in the foetus in the womb. They then unite to fight against the injustice meted out and also remove the industry that has caused it from the town.

Toxic Town stars Jodie Whittaker, Aimee Lou Wood, Robert Carlyle, Rory Kinnear, Brendan Coyle, Claudia Jessie, Joe Dempsie, Michael Socha, Toby Eden, Lauren Lyle, and Matthew Durkan.

The series is based on the 2009 Corby poisonings and the subsequent environmental court case, dubbed in some quarters as the British Erin Brockovich. With four episodes, Toxic Town is all set to premiere on Netflix on February 27.
