Shane Nigam's Tamil debut, Madraskaaran, which also stars Kalaiyarasan, is all set to premiere on Aha Tamil on February 7. The film hit theatres for Pongal on January 10 and opened to unfavourable reviews.

Helmed by Vaali Mohan Das, who debuted with the coming-of-age drama Rangoli in 2023, Madraskaaran also stars Niharika Konidela, Aishwarya Dutta, Karunas, and Pandiarajan. The film is Niharika's second Tamil project after Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren (2018). In an earlier interview with CE, writer-director Vaali said that the film revolves around the consequences of an ego clash between two people and that it centres on the idea of "how a negligible incident completely changes a person's life."

Madraskaaran is touted as an action thriller along the lines of Prithviraj Sukumaran's Ayyappanum Koshiyum and Driving Licence, as well as Shane's own Ishq. The film went on floors in February 2024 and wrapped shooting in June. It has cinematography by Prasanna S Kumar, editing by R Vasanthakumar, and music by Sam CS. The film is produced by B Jagadish through SR Productions.
