The rural comedy Badmashulu, which hit cinemas on June 6, has made its way to streaming platforms. The film is now available on ETV Win and Prime Video, giving audiences an opportunity to catch the light-hearted caper from home.

Written and directed by Shankar Cheguri, Badmashulu follows the misadventures of two bumbling villagers who find themselves in jail after being accused of petty theft. Lacking a solid case against them, they nevertheless face an uphill battle to secure their release, leading to a series of comedic situations rooted in small-town dynamics.

Badmashulu features Mahesh Chinthala and Vidyasagar Karampuri in the lead roles, with Muralidhar Goud portraying an empathetic police officer. Kavitha Srirangam and Deeksha Koteshwar play the female leads, while the supporting cast includes Balagam fame Sudhakar Reddy, Anjayya Neyyolala and Gunda Mallayya.

Produced by B Balakrishna and C Rama Shankar under the Thara Story Tellers banner, Badmashulu brings together a technical crew led by cinematographer Vineeth Pabbathi, editor Gajjala Rakshith Kumar and music composer Teja Kunuru.

The CE review of Badmashulu reads, "It's not a loud, laugh-a-minute comedy, nor is it particularly inventive. But it’s sincere, charming, and most importantly, kind. It asks very little of the viewer, and if you’re willing to meet it halfway, it will reward you with a smile or two and a surprisingly warm aftertaste.”
