The dialogue-free animation film Flow, the Latvian film which won Best Animated Feature at the 96th Academy Awards, 2025, is now available to stream on Prime Video.

Based on director Gints Zilbalodis' own high-school short film, Flow revolves around a solitary cat that teams up with other animals on a boat after a catastrophic flood in a world devoid of humans. It follows their journey through mystical landscapes as they deal with the perils and challenges of a world that is new to them.

The Zilbalodis directorial also won Best Animated Feature Film at the Golden Globes and Best International Film at the Independent Spirit Awards, among other recognitions. Flow is also the first-ever film from Latvia to get an Oscar nomination and award.

The film, which premiered in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, is written by Zilbalodis himself and Matiss Kaza. Zilbalodis also produced the film along with Kaza, Gregory Zalcman, and Rob Dyens.
