Netflix renews Tires for another season

The upcoming workplace comedy series stars Shane Gillis and is co-created by Gillis, Steven Gerben and John McKeever

On Tuesday, Netflix announced that they have renewed their upcoming workplace comedy series Tires for another season. The renewal for season 2 comes ahead of the premiere of season 1, which is scheduled for May 23. 

Tires stars Shane Gillis and  is co-created by Gillis, Steven Gerben and John McKeever. The official synopsis for the series, reads, "Will (Steven Gerben), the nervous and unqualified heir to an auto repair chain, attempts to turn his father’s business around despite constant torture from his cousin and now employee, Shane (Gillis)." 

The extended cast of the series includes Chris O’Connor, Kilah Fox, and Stavros Halkias, with guest appearances by Andrew Schulz. The six-episode scripted series is helmed by McKeever. Gillis and McKeever's production company Dad Sick has independently backed Tires, which was acquired by Netflix in February.
