On Friday, Netflix officially announced a biographical documentary about filmmaker SS Rajamouli, titled Modern Masters: SS Rajamouli, also sharing the release date. The documentary film will hit the streaming platform on August 2.

Modern Masters: SS Rajamouli is jointly produced by Applause Entertainment and Film Companion, with noted film journalist Anupama Chopra being the presenter. The documentary will feature anecdotes and insights about the RRR filmmaker from eminent film personalities like James Cameron, Joe Russo, and Karan Johar. Additionally, Rajamouli's Telugu industry colleagues like Prabhas, Ram Charan, NTR Jr and Rana Daggubati too will be seen talking about their association with the filmmaker. The film reportedly also features plenty of behind-the-scenes footage from Rajamouli's films like Baahubali franchise, Eega, and RRR.

The documentary film will form part of Netflix’s Modern Masters doc series on Indian creatives.
