The release date of Emraan Hashmi’s new series, Showtime, was announced on Friday by the makers. It will be released on Disney + Hotstar on March 8. It is created by Sumit Roy and directed by Mihir Desai and Archit Kumar. Mihir also serves as the showrunner for the series that stars Mahima Makwana, Vijay Raaz, Mouni Roy, Naseeruddin Shah, Rajeev Khandelwal and Shriya Saran in pivotal roles.
The show is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment, a digital extension of Dharma Productions. He shared a video on Friday giving a glimpse into the show. Earlier, the teaser for the series was released that introduced us to its world where Emraan Hashmi plays the 'badshaah of Bollywood’. It also showed Mouni Roy playing an actor facing some challenges.
Emraan Hashmi was last seen in a negative role in Tiger 3 alongside Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in 2023. He also shared the screen with Akshay Kumar in the comedy-drama, Selfiee (2023), which was directed by Raj Mehta and produced by Dharma Productions.
