CE Features

Netflix unveiled the trailer for Thelma The Unicorn, on Monday. The film is inspired by the eponymous book written by Aaron Blabey. Thelma the Unicorn was first announced in June 2019. It is scheduled to premiere on the platform on May 17.

The trailer introduces Thelma as an ordinary pony without conventional beauty, who is rejected for her looks despite her talent in music. When the universe conspires to write her success story by making her a temporary unicorn, people recognise her musical skill. However, is the recognition worth hiding her identity?

Brittany Howard has voiced Thelma's character. Will Forte, Jemaine Clement, Edi Patterson, Maliaka Mitchell, Ally Dixon, Fred Armisen, Zach Galifianakis and Jon Heder round out the ensemble voice cast of Thelma the Unicorn.

Lynn Wang and Jared Hess, known for Unikitty! and Napolean Dynamite are the makers of Thelma the Unicorn. John Powell, known for How To Train Your Dragon has handled the musical score for the upcoming film.
