Korean political drama Uncle Samsik, headlined by Parasite star Song Kang-ho in his TV series debut, will arrive on Disney+ on May 15.

The series , which is set in a time of great social and political disturbance in 1960s Korea, will revolve around a young idealist who is determined to change the destiny of his country. Forming a collaboration with a shady fixer, the man gets his work done as the former is ready to take the necessary steps to accomplish any goal given to him.

Song will be seen in the role of the fixer called Uncle Samsik/Pak Doochill while Byun Yohan will essay the role of the idealist, Kim San. Uncle Samsik marks the maiden television project of Shin, who has also written the script. This film will also mark Song's debut performance in a drama series.

Director Shin Yeon-shick is known for Korean films such as The Russian Novel and Dongju: The Portrait of a Poet.
