The streaming platform Prime Video has set a release date for its upcoming adult animated series Hazbin Hotel. The series will premiere on the streamer on January 19.

Based on the popular 2019 pilot by Vivienne Medrano aka VivziePop, Hazbin Hotel follows the unexpectedly upbeat Charlie Morningstar (Erika Henningsen), princess of Hell. Unfortunately, Hell is dealing with an overpopulation issue, prompting Charlie to open a hotel aimed at rehabilitating her guests. Ideally, the hotel will reform them enough that upon checking out they'll be admitted straight to Heaven. Realistically, it probably won't go so smoothly.

Hazbin Hotel will also feature the voices of Stephanie Beatriz, Blake Roman, Amir Talai, Keith David, Alex Brightman, Kimiko Glenn, Joel Perez, and Christian Borle. Darren Criss, Jeremy Jordan, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Patina Miller, and Jessica Vosk have been added to the cast as guest stars.

The show is created by Vivienne Medrano in partnership with A24 and Bento Box Entertainment. The upcoming season is set to have eight episodes.
