Netflix's Boy Swallows Universe gets premiere date

The series stars Phoebe Tonkin, Bryan Brown and Travis Fimmel in the lead roles

Netflix released the trailer of their upcoming series Boy Swallows Universe on Sunday, and also announced that the series will premiere on the platform on January 11.  Based on Trent Dalton's iconic best-selling novel of the same name, the series stars Phoebe Tonkin, Bryan Brown and Travis Fimmel in the lead roles.

Netflix's official description of the series read, "Boy Swallows Universe is the story of a boy doing his best to hold his fractured family together in 1980s Brisbane. Boy Swallows Universe shows what happens when boyhood innocence collides with the brutal adult world. " 

Boy Swallows Universe also stars Lee Tiger Halley, Gus Bell, Peter Phan, Tony Leung, and Felix Cameron. 

Written and created by John Collee, the executive producers of the show comprise Joel Edgerton and Troy Lum, among others.
