Actor Trisha's recently released crime thriller film The Road, directed by Arun Vaseegaran, is hitting OTT platform Aha soon. Taking to their social media handles, the platform wrote, "Buckle up for a thrilling ride with Trisha's The Road. Premieres exclusively on Aha this November 10."
Apart from Trisha, other actors in the cast include Shabeer Kallarakkal, Santhosh Prathap, Miya George, MS Bhaskar, Vivek Prasanna, and Vela Ramamoorthy.
AAA Cinemaa Private Limited has backed The Road. The technical crew consists of Sam CS scoring the music, with KG Venkatesh behind the camera. AR Shivaraj is the editor.
The film, which hit theatres on October 6 this year, received mixed to negative reviews. An excerpt from our CE review read, "The Road isn’t just a substandard mixed bag of many elements together but has a problematic moral compass on pressing issues of today’s times. In the era of social media, where harassment and bullying are common, and labelling communities based on hierarchical preferences is rampant, the film trivialises sexual harassment allegations and notions of residents of indigenous regions as mere plot-pushers."
