CBS' Fire Country has added Tye White and Jason O'Mara to the cast of the second season. They're set to play prominent recurring roles in the upcoming season.

Created by Max Thieriot, Tony Phelan, and Joan Rater, the series stars Thieriot, Kevin Alejandro, Jordan Calloway, and Stephanie Arcila amongst others in lead roles.

Fire Country revolves around Bode Donovan (Thieriot), a young convict with a troubled past. Hoping to redeem himself and shorten his prison sentence, he volunteers for the California Conservation Camp Program in which prisoners assist the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, known as Cal Fire. He ends up getting assigned to his hometown in Northern California where he must work alongside former friends, other inmates, and elite firefighters putting out the huge fires that plague the region.

White will essay the role of an MMA fighter and family man who is now Bode's inmate, Cole. O'Mara will play Liam, a firefighter with a laid-back demeanour.

The series is inspired by Thieriot’s experiences growing up in fire country. The actor has co-written the series with Tony Phelan and Joan Rater. Fire Country is backed by Jerry Bruckheimer Television and CBS Studios. A premiere date for season 2 is yet to be announced.
