Zhagaram Studios, Suriya and Jyotika’s production banner, dropped a character introduction video for Naslen in their upcoming film Scene on Thursday. The actor plays a character named Eeswaran in the film, which marks Romancham and Aavesham director Jithu Madhavan's Tamil debut. The video further hints at a negative role for the actor in the film, something which has been widely speculated ever since the recent release of the Scene glimpse, introducing Suriya's cop character in it.

In the latest video, Suriya describes a character as “a faceless, emotionless, inhuman predator” and it juxtaposes this line with Naslen looking at what appears to be a hanging body. Elsewhere, Naslen tells someone or a group of people, “Don't worry, I will not kill you all. Start the vehicle without fear.”

If the subtle hints and the visual suggestions are anything to go by, Scene marks Naslen's first turn as an antagonist in a feature film. The actor is mostly known for his boy-next-door roles and romantic heroes with a touch of comedy in Malayalam cinema. Also starring Nazriya Nazim, Scene seems to mark a major departure from his typical roles, and the Malayalam film industry and the audience look forward to it.

Ever since the makers of the film dropped the new character introduction video, Naslen's past directors such as Abhinav Sunder Nayak (Mollywood Times) and Dominic Arun (Lokah) shared the link to it on their Instagram Stories space. “Superstar,” wrote Dominic Arun about his Lokah actor, whereas Abhinav called him “Namma Payyan” accompanied by fire and cracker emotions.

Actors Aju Varghese, Premalu star Sangeeth Prathap and Lokah star Chandu Salimkumar also expressed their excitement for Naslen's role in the upcoming film, which marks his debut in Tamil cinema.
