Mohanlal has a packed slate ahead in 2026, with multiple projects lined up across Malayalam and beyond. According to a report by Manorama Online, the actor has signed films with seven Malayalam directors, with work already underway on the first of these.

The project currently on floors is directed by Tharun Moorthy and produced by Ashiq Usman. Tentatively titled L 366, the film reunites the actor with the filmmaker after Thudarum, and is expected to wrap shooting by May. Mohanlal plays a police officer named SI T S Lovelajan, with the script written by Ratheesh Ravi. The film has cinematography by Shaji Kumar and music by Jakes Bejoy.

Once this schedule is complete, Mohanlal is set to move on to a film with director Vishnu Mohan, backed by Gokulam Gopalan under the Sree Gokulam Movies banner. The project, tentatively titled L 367, is being mounted on a large scale and is expected to feature talent from outside the Malayalam industry as well. Vishnu Mohan, who won a National Award for his debut film Meppadiyan, is both writing and directing the film.

Among the other confirmed collaborations are projects with Priyadarshan, Dileesh Pothan, Sathyan Anthikad, Jude Anthany Joseph and Jeethu Joseph. Notably, the films with Dileesh Pothan and Jude Anthany Joseph will mark their first time working with Mohanlal.

The Priyadarshan project, backed by Aashirvad Cinemas, will be the filmmaker’s 100th film and is expected to begin production later this year. Meanwhile, the Dileesh Pothan film, produced by Shibu Baby John, is said to feature a strong ensemble cast, although further details are yet to be officially announced. Mohanlal will also reunite with Sathyan Anthikad for another film under the Aashirvad Cinemas banner, while his collaboration with Jude Anthany Joseph marks their first full-length feature together after a brief association in Visamaya Mohanlal's debut film Thudakkam. Another major project in the lineup is with Jeethu Joseph, following the third instalment of the Drishyam franchise.

In addition to these Malayalam films, the report adds that Mohanlal has also signed a big-budget Telugu project.
