Jayasurya to lead composer Ratheesh Vega's directorial debut Operation Tral, title teaser out

Produced by Joby George Thadathil, the Jayasurya-starrer Operation Tral is slated to release in theatres in December as a Christmas release

Jayasurya is set to headline Operation Tral, which marks the directorial debut of composer Ratheesh Vega, who has also written the script. The makers announced the upcoming film on Monday along with a title announcement teaser. Produced by Joby George Thadathil under the banner of Goodwill Entertainments, it is slated to release in theatres in December as a Christmas release. Ratheesh is best known as the music director of films such as Cocktail, Beautiful and Run Babby Run, among others.

Billed as a high-octane thriller inspired by real events, Operation Tral centres on a significant encounter between the Indian Army and militants in Tral, Jammu and Kashmir. Shooting will take place across multiple locations, including Jammu, Pulwama, Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Nainital, Dehradun, Kashmir, Delhi, Kochi, Coimbatore, Malappuram, Ponnani and Palakkad.

On the technical front, the film has cinematography by Najose and editing by Shafeeque V B. Ratheesh will also compose the songs and background score. Apart from Malayalam, Operation Tral will have dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.

Jayasurya will next be seen in Aadu 3: One Last Ride - Part 1, directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas. The fantasy comedy, the first chapter of the third instalment in the popular Aadu franchise, is scheduled to release worldwide on March 19.
