Director Krishand's Masthishka Maranam continues to win audience appreciation a week into its release. The latest to appreciate the film is actor Siddharth.

The actor, who has expressed his admiration for Malayalam cinema on multiple occasions, said that he loved the film and has seen it twice. Taking to his Instagram Stories, he shared a poster of the film and wrote, "What an epic picture. One of the best written and executed futuristic sci-fi films ever attempted in India." After watching the film a second time, he called it an "out-of-this-world" experience and opined that it deserved multiple viewings. "I saw this picture twice. It's that good," he wrote.

As reported earlier, Masthishka Maranam follows a father who comes across a video game in the black market as he grieves the passing of his daughter. The man attempts to bring back his daughter's memories through the game so that he can cope with the loss, but while doing so, he unearths a dark secret concerning a superstar (Rajisha Vijayan).

Siddharth gave a shout out to Rajisha and appreciated her performance in the film with a fire emoticon.

According to the industry tracker Sacnilk, the film grossed around 2.5 crore from theatres in India over the first seven days of its release. More than the collection, the audience and critics have been drumming up some enthusiasm for the film through their positive appreciation.

In our review, Vivek Santhosh wrote, "What this film keeps circling back to, without ever quite landing, is the question of whether anything actually belongs to anyone anymore in a world where the cost of memory itself has a price tag. Masthishka Maranam doesn’t pretend to have any answers. But it asks the question with enough imagination, anger, and humour that you leave feeling glad that it did."

Recently, Nimisha Sajayan also commended Rajisha's performance in the film.
