Earlier this Sunday, Drishyam 3 producer Aashirvad Cinemas revealed that the film has earned 330 crore from theatres and through its business outside the cinema halls. Directed by Jeethu Joseph and starring Mohanlal, the film continues its story after the events of Drishyam 2 (2021). On Saturday, the makers of the film announced that it will have its digital premiere on June 18, Thursday.

Meanwhile, the film continues to run in theatres, having entered the 30th day of its release. It is rather rare for a film to run 30 days in theatres in this day and age, where films often become available on streaming platforms after their theatrical release more quickly than ever before. The success of Drishyam 3 is partly attributed to the massive acceptance and popularity of the franchise.

Reflecting on the journey of the franchise, producer Antony Perumbavoor and actor Mohanlal shared a statement that read, "Carried across generations. What began as a story from Kerala found its way across languages, borders, and millions of hearts. Thirteen years and three chapters later, this journey continues to create history.. Thank you for making it your own."

Drishyam 3 received mostly positive reviews from critics, although some shared mixed opinions about it. The story follows Georgekutty (Mohanlal) who now lives in constant fear and anxiety after covering up virtually every trace of the late Varun (Roshan). The film also stars Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Siddique, Asha Sharath, Murali Gopy, and Kalabhavan Shajohn, among others.

With the massive success of the third part, the audience is looking forward to a potential announcement from Aashirvad Cinemas regarding another instalment in the Drishyam franchise. Meanwhile, the Hindi version of the film, starring Ajay Devgn and directed by Abhishek Pathak, has completed its principal photography.
