Here is the latest development about the film, starring Naslen

Director Abhinav Sunder Nayak's film Mollywood Times, starring Naslen in the lead role, has landed in a censorship issue. According to Manorama News, the makers of the film muted the profanity in it when they submitted it for censorship, only to bring it all back for its theatrical release. Reports say that the Censor Board is set to take action against the makers of Mollywood Times for the same.

The film tells the story of a youngster (Naslen) who wants to become the best horror film maker in Malayalam cinema after taking inspiration from critically acclaimed directors, such as M Night Shyamalan. It explores themes of unchecked ambition, what it takes to succeed on one's terms, the cutthroat nature of show business, and more.

The film that tells a coming-of-age story is billed as an antithesis to love letters to cinema. It also stars Sangeeth Prathap, Jagadish, Sharaf U Dheen, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Rajesh Madhavan, Chandu Salim Kumar, and Prashanth Alexander, among others.

A week into its release, the film has earned more than 15 crore from theatres in five days of its release, according to producer Ashiq Usman. Recently, Vineeth Sreenivasan told Abhinav that the latter's work on the film has made him proud. For the uninitiated, Mollywood Times brought Vineeth back together with his Mukundan Unni Associates director. While the 2022 dark comedy tells the story of an ambitious and sociopathic lawyer (Vineeth) who goes to any lengths to achieve his goals, the Naslen starrer is about a youngster chasing his filmmaking dreams.
