The makers of Parvathy Thiruvothu-starrer Pradhama Drishtiya Kuttakkar have unveiled the film's first-look, in the form of a motion poster, and announced that the investigative thriller will hit theatres on September 11. The motion poster features Parvathy, Unnimaya Prasad, Mathew Thomas and Sidharth Bharathan seated on a bench inside a police station in uniform, each sporting a distinct expression.
Directed by Shahad, who previously helmed Prakashan Parakkatte and Anuragam, the upcoming film follows the professional life of a woman constable who joins the police force through compassionate appointment after the death of her husband. The film marks Parvathy's first police role in Malayalam cinema. The cast also includes Vijayaraghavan, Sai Kumar, Vinay Forrt, Azeez Nedumangad, R Parthiban, Jayashree Sivadas, Praveen Kumar, Siraj and Niyas Backer in key roles.
Jointly scripted by PS Subramaniam and Vijesh Thottingal, Pradhama Drishtiya Kuttakkar has cinematography by Roby Raj, editing by Chaman Chakko, music by Mujeeb Majeed, production design by Mahesh Mohan and sound design by Jayadevan Chakkadath. Produced by Arjun Selva under the banner of 11 Icons Film Productions, the film was shot across Kottayam, Thrissur, Alappuzha, Coimbatore, Bengaluru and Koothattukulam.
Parvathy was last seen in the Prithviraj Sukumaran-starrer i, Nobody, directed by Nissam Basheer. Her upcoming projects include acclaimed Malayalam filmmaker Don Palathara's next untitled film opposite Dileesh Pothan in the lead, Prime Video's Hindi series Storm, produced by Hrithik Roshan, and the second season of Prime Video's Telugu series Dhootha, reprising the role that marked her first-ever on-screen outing as a police officer.
