Earlier, we reported about Dhanush praising the psychological thriller Eko and making a special note of actor Biana Momin's performance in the film's central role. The latest to praise Biana's portrayal of a complex character named Mlathi Chedathi is Rahul Ravindran, who recently earned critical appreciation for his directorial The Girlfriend. Quote tweeting Dhanush's post, Rahul wrote, "I am so glad he mentioned Biana Momin… it’s an incredible performance! She’s so unfussily terrific in the film. But I haven’t seen much chatter about her online. I don’t blame people. She delivers such a lived in performance that nobody will walk out saying she was great. She was that great."

Biana is the first person from Meghayala's Garo tribe to act in Malayalam cinema.

Directed by Dinjith Ayyathan from a screenplay by Bahul Ramesh, Eko has released on Netflix after its successful theatrical run, which saw it gross over 50 crore from theatres worldwide. The film's plot follows the search for an enigmatic character, Saurabh Sachdeva's Kuriachan, by a group of characters, including Narain's Navy officer and Sandeep Pradeep's youngster. When the search in a hill station gets deeper and deeper, details about Kuriachan's past becomes more and more fascinating.

Eko is considered one of the ten highest-grossing Malayalam films of 2025. The other day, the makers of the film expressed their gratitude to Dhanush for his appreciation. Sharing his Eko movie review on Instagram, they wrote, "Thank you, Dhanush — it truly means a lot to us."
