The shooting of director Mahesh Narayanan's upcoming espionage thriller Patriot has been wrapped up. Eagerly awaited as it reunites Mammootty and Mohanlal on screen after a long gap, the film has been in the making for over a year now. Production was delayed by a few months due to Mammootty's health scare, but since his return in October last year, the team has been continuously shooting.

Patriot also stars Fahadh Faasil, Nayanthara, Kunchacko Boban, Darshana Rajendran, Aattam-fame Zarin Shihab, and Revathy as part of the cast. It is produced by Anto Joseph, with C R Salim and Subhash Manuel as co-producers. The makers shot the film in various locations, including the UK, Sri Lanka, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Kashmir, and Kochi. It is shot by Manush Nandan, with music by Sushin Shyam, and editing by director Mahesh and Rahul Radhakrishnan.

Patriot is reportedly planned for release during the Vishu season in April.
