Writer-director Krishand’s Masthishka Maranam (A Frankenbiting of Simon’s Memories) is set for a theatrical release on February 27. The makers also unveiled a new teaser, offering a fresh glimpse into the upcoming science-fiction comedy thriller. The film is produced by Ajith Vinayaka Films in association with Krishand Films.

Masthishka Maranam features Niranj Maniyanpilla Raju, Vishnu Agasthya, Rajisha Vijayan, Divya Prabha, Suresh Krishna, Jagadish, Rahul Rajagopal, Ann Saleem, Nandu, Santhy Balachandran, Shambu, Manoj Kana, Zhins Shan, Anoop Mohandas, Sreenath Babu and Jain Andrews in prominent roles.

Described by the makers as a mind-bending comedy thriller, the film revolves around a grieving father who enters a virtual reality memory game in an attempt to reconnect with his deceased child. The technical team includes cinematographer Prayag Mukundan and music composer Varkey, with Krishand also handling its art direction alongside Alvin Joseph.

Krishand is best known for helming critically acclaimed films like Aavasavyuham and Purusha Pretham. Actor-producer Maniyanpilla Raju confirmed last year that the filmmaker will join forces with Mohanlal for a new film, though the current status of the project remains unknown.
