The Shane Nigam-starrer Dridam is set to hit theatres on May 8, the makers announced. The investigative crime thriller is directed by debutant Martin Joseph, a longtime associate of filmmaker Jeethu Joseph.
According to the makers, Dridam follows the events that unfold when Vijay Radhakrishnan (Shane), a newly appointed Sub-Inspector, takes charge at a rural police station in Kuzhinilam. Entering the role with confidence, he soon finds himself dealing with unexpected situations within the station, with the narrative charting the challenges he is forced to navigate.
The film is jointly scripted by Jomon John and Linto Devasia. The cast also includes Sanya, Shobi Thilakan, Krishna Praba Nair, Nandan Unni, Dinesh Prabakar, Kottayam Ramesh and Bitto Davis. On the technical front, it has cinematography by PM Unnikrishnan, editing by Vinayakh, music by Sreerag Saji and action choreography by Mahesh Mathew.
Dridam is produced by Mukesh R Mehta and CV Sarathi under the banner E4 Experiment, and is presented by Jeethu Joseph under the banner of Bedtime Stories.
