The makers of Dridam, starring Shane Nigam, dropped a trailer for the film earlier this Sunday. Directed by Martin Joseph, a longtime associate of Jeethu Joseph, the film follows a murder investigation. The film is written by Jomon John and Linto Devasia, who are credited for its story, script and dialogues.

As he takes charge at a new police station, Shane Nigam's police officer has been told that it is a quiet and peaceful place with many good people. Initially, he too has the same impression about the place and his colleagues. However, things perk up when the remains of a dead person are found at a private property and the general public demand an immediate arrest of the one responsible for the crime. Shane's superior gives him one week to solve the murder mystery. However, the task is more difficult because his department and a restless public put pressure on him to bring an immediate solution.

"We've all faced a moment where proving ourselves mattered the most... This is his story," wrote the makers as the caption for the trailer announcement post.

Dridam also stars Sanya, Shobi Thilakan, Krishna Praba Nair, Nandan Unni, Dinesh Prabakar, Kottayam Ramesh, and Bitto Davis, among others. The tagline for the film reads, "Protect. Serve. Survive." On the technical front, it has cinematographer PM Unnikrishnan, editor Vinayakh, composer Sreerag Saji, and action director Mahesh Mathew.

The film is produced by Mukesh R Mehta and CV Sarathi under their banner E4 Experiment. It is presented by Jeethu Joseph under the Bedtime Stories banner. E4 Experiment is known as the production banner behind the 2023 whodunnit Por Thozhil, directed by Vignesh Raja and starring Sarath Kumar and Ashok Selvan in the lead roles.

The makers are yet to announce a release date for the Shane Nigam starrer.
