Suriya and Nazriya, who are the stars of Aavesham maker Jithu Madhavan's upcoming project, inaugurated a new film, which is the directorial debut of Shifina Babin Pakker, who has also written the film. Shifina, who has worked as an assistant director to Jithu on both Romancham (2023) and Aavesham (2024), is Jithu's wife.
The upcoming project will be jointly produced by Dolwin Kuriakose under his Theatre of Dreams banner, and Dr Ananthu S under his Ananthu Entertainments banner.
The launch was conducted in Kochi, with a pooja ceremony, which saw B Unnikrishnan, Shaji Kailas, SN Swamy, Ramlath, Krishnamoorthy, and Alby, in attendance. Shyju Khalid performed the pooja of the camera and switch-on ceremony, while Suriya executed the first clap. Director Anwar Rasheed carried out the script handover. The shoot for the film will officially commence in Kodungallur on 6 April.
Music for the upcoming untitled film will be composed by Bibin Ashok, who recently composed for Prakambanam, with lyrics by Vinayak Sasikumar. The crew of the upcoming film includes cinematography by Alby, editing by Vivek Harshan, art direction by Dileep Nath, and stunt choreography by Ashraf Gurukkal. The makers have announced that further details of the film will be revealed in the coming days.
Meanwhile, Jithu Madhavan's third directorial, tentatively titled Suriya 47, is currently filming. Naslen, known for his work in Premalu (2022) and Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra (2025), is also part of Suriya 47. Suriya is producing the film under his newly formed Zhagaram Studios, which features music by Sushin Shyam.
