Tovino's Ajayante Randam Moshanam (ARM) turned one on Friday and on this occasion, the makers released a deleted video from the film. It features a conversation between Maniyan, one of the characters Tovino plays in the film, and Jagadish's Kollan Naanu. The video hints at a possible spinoff for Maniyan's character, which has now been reconfirmed by director Jithin Laal.

Talking to Cue Studio, Jithin said, writer Sujith Nambiar had conceived a basic idea for the Maniyan spinoff much earlier and it still has the potential to be made as a full-length film. He added that this standalone film will explain the reason behind Maniyan's immortality. Jithin and Sujith are currently working on another film, also belonging to the fantasy genre, after which they plan to proceed with the film on Maniyan.

Jithin's next is supposedly a sci-fi supernatural film, rumored to feature an alien-based storyline. The director has been working on its pre-production for the last few months. The makers recently had a script pooja at Sabarimala.

Jithin is also in initial talks with Mohanlal for a film.
