Vismaya Mohanlal is following in her legendary father's footsteps by foraying into the world of cinema. The other day, the makers of Thudakkam, Antony Perumbavoor's Aashirvad Cinemas launched the film in a grand ceremony in Kochi. Subsequently, filmmaker Priyadarshan, a close family friend of Mohanlal and his family, took to Instagram to share an emotional note on Vismaya. Sharing a picture of Vismaya holding her book, Grains of Stardust, Priyadarshan wrote, "I carried two kids in my arms Kalyani in one hand and Maya in the other. That's how we grew up as a family. As Lal mentioned today, we never imagined they would one day step into films." He went on to convey his best wishes to Vismaya on her acting debut. "Just like how Kalyani had Lokah, let Maya's Thudakkam be a beautiful beginning too. God bless Maya," the filmmaker added.
Thudakkam is directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, who is known for films such as Ohm Shanthi Oshaana and 2018: Everyone's a Hero. The film also stars Aashish Joe Antony, its director's son, in a lead role alongside Vismaya.
