Set in a village in Idukki, Pathirathri is described as a police drama inspired by true events. The film also features Sunny Wayne, Shabareesh Varma, and Ann Augustine in key roles. The screenplay is written by Shaji Maraad, who earlier co-wrote the much-praised Ela Veezha Poonchira.

The film’s technical team includes cinematographer Shehnad Jalal of Bramayugam fame, editor Sreejith Sarang, and composer Jakes Bejoy.
