Sandeep Pradeep's new film Eko will hit screens on November 21, announced the makers on Saturday. It marks the reunion of director Dinjith Ayyathan and writer-cinematographer Bahul Ramesh after the success of last year's mystery thriller Kishkindha Kaandam.

As per the makers, Eko is the final chapter of Bahul's 'Animal Trilogy' after Kishkindha Kaandam and the web series Kerala Crime Files: Season 2, forming a collection of three standalone stories sharing a spiritual essence — exploring crimes and moral conflicts in a world where animal presence plays a stimulating role.

Eko's recently released teaser grabbed attention, promising something unseen before in Malayalam. Defined as a period drama, it seems like an ambitious attempt, as the teaser features mentions of a Japanese and World War II connection.

Eko is Sandeep Pradeep's second film as a lead actor after the success of Padakkalam. The new film also stars Vineeth, Ashokan, Narain, Binu Pappu, Biana Momin, Sim Zhi Fei, NG Hung Shen, Ranjith Shekhar, and Saheer Muhammed. Kishkindha Kaandam's editor Sooraj ES and composer Mujeeb Majeed are part of this new film as well. It marks the maiden production venture of MRK Jhayaram under his banner Aaradyaa Studios.

Eko will be released in Tamil Nadu by Dream Warrior Pictures, the renowned production house that backed films like Theeran Adhigaram Ondru, Kaithi, and the upcoming Suriya-starrer Karuppu. In Karnataka, Eko will be distributed by acclaimed actor-director Raj B Shetty's Lighter Buddha Films.
