Pranav Mohanlal's Dies Irae, which has opened to excellent numbers at the box office, is now set for its Telugu release on November 7. The announcement was made on Wednesday along with the release of the Telugu version trailer.
Directed by Rahul Sadasivan, Dies Irae is a horror thriller primarily focused on Rohan (Pranav), an affluent youth being haunted by a supernatural presence in his posh villa. Jibin Gopinath, Jaya Kurup, and Arun Ajikumar play other important characters in the film.
Rahul himself has scripted Dies Irae, based on true events. Ever since its premiere on October 30, the film has been garnering largely positive reviews, with particular praise for the performances and the technical excellence which powers a gripping big-screen experience. Trade reports suggest that the film has already crossed the ₹50 crore-mark from its global collections.
Though Dies Irae ends with a possibility of a sequel, Rahul is yet to confirm anything regarding it. His next film is reportedly with Manju Warrier, which will also be in the horror genre, like his earlier works.
Notably, Rahul's previous film Bramayugam, headlined by Mammootty, was also dubbed and released in multiple languages.
