Mathew Thomas' Lovely confirms a new release date

The 3D fantasy film is directed by Dileesh Nair

After multiple postponements of its release, Mathew Thomas' 3D fantasy film Lovely has finally been slated to hit screens on May 16. The film is directed by Dileesh Nair, who co-wrote films like Salt N' Pepper and Mayaandhi. It is about a rare bond between a fly and a young man named Boney. Actor-singer Sivaangi Krishnakumar has voiced for the fly in the film.

Lovely also stars Manoj K Jayan, K.P.A.C. Leela, Ahwathy Manoharan, Ganga Meera, and Prashanth Murali in prominent roles. The film has cinematography by director Aashiq Abu, while Aneesh Kutti heads the VFX and CG works. Music directors Vishnu Vijay and Bijibal and editor Kiran Das are also part of the technical team. It is produced by Saranya and Dr Amar Ramachandran under the banners of Western Ghats Productions and Neni Entertainments. The makers are also planning to release it in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

Mathew Thomas was last seen in the Tamil film Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam, directed by actor Dhanush. The Kumbalangi Nights actor also has Udumbanchola Vision and a horror-comedy titled Night Riders in the pipeline.
