Pranav Mohanlal's new film with director Rahul Sadasivan officially commenced production on Monday. Rahul, who last made the widely-acclaimed black-and-white horror film Bramayugam (2024), is reuniting with almost the same team on the production and technical front. Ramachandra Chakravarthy and S Sashikanth of Night Shift Studios and YNOT Studios are returning to produce the upcoming film, tentatively titled NSS 2.

This will be the director's third successive horror film after Bhoothakaalam (2022) and Bramayugam. Cinematographer Shehnad Jalal and editor Shafique Mohamed Ali, who were part of both the films, have been retained. Ponman director Jothish Shankar will be handling the art direction, while Marco-fame Kalai Kingson has been roped in to choreograph the stunts. Sound designer Jayadevan Chakkadath, sound mixer Rajakrishnan MR, makeup artist Ronex Xavier, and costume designer Melwy J are also part of the technical team.

Pranav Mohanlal was last seen in Vineeth Sreenivasan's Varshnangalkku Shesham (2024), where he played an eccentric musician.
