As L2: Empuraan gears up for its highly anticipated release on March 27, the filmmakers announced on Wednesday that the trailer will be launched on March 20 at 1:08 PM IST. The film, the second instalment in the Lucifer trilogy, will see Mohanlal reprise his role as Khureshi-Ab'raam/Stephen Nedumbally. It will also be the first Malayalam film to be released in IMAX.

Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and scripted by Murali Gopy, L2: Empuraan brings back returning cast members, including Prithviraj, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier and Indrajith Sukumaran. The film also introduces new actors, such as Abhimanyu Singh, Game of Thrones actor Jerome Flynn, British actor Andrea Tivadar, French actor Eriq Ebouaney, and Salaar-fame Kaarthikeyaa Dev, among others.

The technical crew remains largely unchanged, with Sujith Vaassudev handling cinematography, Deepak Dev composing the music, and Stunt Silva choreographing the action sequences. Akhilesh Mohan, who worked as an assistant editor on Lucifer, serves as the editor for L2: Empuraan.
