The makers of Anaswara Rajan and Sajin Gopu's Painkili, directed by debutant Sreejith Babu, have dropped the song titled 'Thetti'. The track, composed by Justin Varghese and penned by Vinayak Sasikumar, is sung by Neeraj Remesh.

Painkili, released on February 14, is penned by Aavesham director Jithu Madhavan, who is also co-producing it under his banner Urban Animal alongside actor Fahadh Faasil. The film also stars Aavesham-fame Roshan Shanavas, Chandu Salimkumar, Abu Salim, Jisma Vimal, filmmaker Lijo Jose Pellissery, Riyaz Khan and Ashwathy B, among others. It has cinematography by Arjun Sethu and editing by Kiran Das.

An excerpt from the CE review of the film reads, "Painkili has a crazy energy which it maintains till the final 30 minutes when it pants hard to make it to the finishing point. A more nuanced approach to sketching the two primary characters and their inner turmoils could have benefitted this otherwise entertaining film."
