Selvaraghavan on Mohanlal’s Thudarum: ‘Mesmerised by the best actor in India…’

Following the OTT premiere of Mohanlal’s latest theatrical hit, Thudarum, filmmaker and actor Selvaraghavan has caught the film and penned his review of the same. In a short post on X, the auteur praised the film and the veteran actor while also calling him the best actor in India.

“Brilliant, brilliant movie Thudarum is! Only Mohanlal sir can pull off this film! What an actor! Mesmerised by the best actor in India!” He wrote. (sic)

Helmed by Tharun Moorthy, Thudarum, which hit theatres on April 25, premiered on JioHotstar on May 30. Also starring Shobana, Prakash Varma, Farhaan Faasil, Maniyanpilla Raju, Binu Pappu, Irshad Ali, Aarsha Chandini Baiju, and more, the film is currently the third highest-grossing Malayalam film.

Thudarum follows Shanmugham (Mohanlal), a taxi driver who is in love with his black ambassador. When fate puts him to the test, he must prove just how far he'll go for what he holds dear. The film opened to both critical acclaim and commercial success.

On the work front, Selvaraghavan was last seen in Santhanam’s Devil's Double Next Level. He is currently directing 7G Rainbow Colony 2, starring Ravi Krishna and Anaswara Rajan in lead roles.
