The makers of the Basil Joseph-starrer Ponman dropped the lyric video for the promo song titled 'Arbhadam'. The track, composed by Justin Varghese and penned by Suhail Koya, is sung by Zia Ul Haq.

Slated to hit theatres on January 30, Ponman marks the directorial debut of seasoned production designer Jothish Shankar, noted for his work in films like  Kumbalangi Nights,  Android Kunjappan Ver 5.25, and Nna Thaan Case Kodu. The upcoming film is an adaptation of the novel Nalanchu Cheruppakar by GR Indugopan, who has also jointly penned the screenplay with Minnal Murali co-writer Justin Mathew.

Along with Basil, Ponman stars Aavesham-fame Sajin Gopu, Lijomol Jose, Deepak Parambol, Anand Manmadhan, Sandhya Rajendran, Rajesh Sharma, Kiran Peethambaran, Reju Sivadas, Jaya Kurupp, Midhun Venugopal, Thankam Mohan and Shylaja P Ambu. On the technical front, Sanu John Varughese is handling the cinematography for the film, which has editing by Nidhin Raj Arol. It is produced by Ajith Vinayaka Films.

Basil was most recently seen in Pravinkoodu Shappu, a dark comedy thriller, in which he plays a cop. He also has Marana Mass, produced by Tovino Thomas, gearing up for release.
