The Tovino Thomas-starrer Identity, which released in theatres on January 2 and met with mixed response, is set for its OTT release. The film will premiere digitally on Zee5 on January 31. Apart from Malayalam, it will also be streaming in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada languages.

Identity is written and directed by Akhil Paul and Anas Khan, marking their second outing with Tovino after Forensic. An ambitious action thriller, Identity also stars Trisha and Vinay Rai in major roles. The ensemble cast includes Mandira Bedi, Shammi Thilakan, Aju Varghese, Arjun Radhakrishnan, Archana Kavi, Gopika Ramesh, Giju John and Dhruvan.

Though Identity was originally announced as a two-part film with its open-ended climax also hinting at such a possibility, the makers have not yet confirmed anything about it. The film is produced by Raju Malliath and Dr Roy CJ under the banners of Ragam Movies and Confident Group, respectively.

Tovino will be next seen in L2: Empuraan, in which he is reprising his role from Lucifer. He also has Ishq-fame Anuraj Manohar's political thriller Narivetta coming up. The actor is also set to headline Muhsin Parari's upcoming directorial Thantha Vibe.
