The first-look poster of Dhyan Sreenivasan's Detective Ujjwalan was unveiled by the makers of the film on Sunday. Billed to be a fun-filled investigation thriller, the film marks the directorial debuts of Indraneel Gopeekrishnan and Rahul G, who have also written the film.

The first-look poster of Detective Ujjwalan features Dhyan on a scooter with an innocent look on his face. The supporting characters of the film are also featured in the poster, which reveals a masked character to be the antagonist.

Detective Ujjwalan, which is being produced by Sophia Paul's Weekend Blockbusters, is slated to be the second installment in the Weekend Cinematic Universe (WCU), which started with Tovino Thomas' Minnal Murali (2021). The same universe is also included in the banner's recently revealed zombie movie, Jambi, which is being directed by George Kora.

Siju Wilson, Kottayam Nazeer, Rony David Raj, Seema G Nair, Nirmal Palazhi, and Kalabhavan Navas star in prominent roles in Detective Ujjwalan. Popular social media talents Ameen, Nihal Nizam, Nibraz Noushad, and Shahubas are set to make their feature film debut with this thriller. The film's technical crew includes cinematographers Prem Akkattu and Sraiyanti, editor Chaman Chacko, and music director Rzee.
