On Sunday, actor Honey Rose issued a warning via social media against online trolls and harassers who target her with double-entendre jokes and sexually charged remarks. While she has previously chosen to ignore such behaviour, Honey has now declared her intention to pursue legal action against it in the future.

The actor, who refrained from naming specific individuals, expressed her frustration over an incident involving a man who insulted her during an event he organised. She alleged that the individual has been dragging her name unnecessarily on social media platforms as retaliation for her refusal to attend his programmes. "People close to me often ask why I remain silent when someone repeatedly insults me with double-meaning remarks. They question whether my silence implies acceptance or indifference," her statement read. Honey further revealed that the rich and powerful individual had been "vengefully stalking" her and making remarks that undermined her dignity after she declined his invitations.

Highlighting her dismay, she remarked, "I used to wonder if someone’s wealth gives them the right to insult a woman or whether our legal system truly offers protection in such cases." She emphasised that ignoring such behaviour did not equate to her inability to react, adding, "Freedom does not grant one the right to hurt or insult another's freedom," her note concluded.

Honey's next film Rachel is set to hit cinemas on January 10.
