Earlier, we reported that actor Nikhila Vimal will be headlining Pennu Case, directed by debutant Febin Sidharth. On Wednesday, the film went on floors in Mysore following a traditional pooja ceremony attended by the cast and crew. It is jointly scripted by Febin and Reshmi Radhakrishnan. Febin previously penned Bhagavan Dasante Ramarajyam (2023), helmed by Rasheed Parambil.

Pennu Case also stars Hakim Shahjahan, Aju Varghese, Ramesh Pisharody and Irshad Ali in pivotal roles. On the technical front, the film has cinematography by Shinoz, editing by Sarin Ramakrishnan and music by Ankit Menon. The dialogues and additional screenplay have been jointly written by Jyothish M, Sunu V and Ganesh Malayath. It is produced by Mukesh R Mehta, Rajesh Krishna, and CV Sarathi under the banners of E4 Experiments and London Talkies. Details regarding the genre and plot are under wraps.

Nikhila was last seen in the Unni Mukundan-starrer Get-Set Baby, directed by Vinay Govind.
