Suraj Venjaramoodu and Sharafudheen's Padakkalam gets a first look

The film, directed by Manu Swaraj, is slated for release on May 2

The first look poster of Padakkalam, starring Suraj Venjaramoodu and Sharafudheen was unveiled on Saturday. The poster also features Sandeep Pradeep, Niranjana Anoop, Saaf, Arun Pradeep and Arun Ajikumar. Debutant Manu Swaraj is directing the film, which he has co-written with Nithin C Babu. It is produced by Vijay Babu and Vijay Subramaniam under the banners of Friday Film House and 29 September Works.

Padakkalam's technical crew comprises cinematographer Anu Moothedath, editor Nidhin Raj Arol, and composer Rajesh Murugesan of Premam fame. The upcoming film has been confirmed to hit screens on May 2.

Sharafudheen's next release will be debutant Praneesh Vijayan's Pet Detective, scheduled for April 25. The actor himself is producing the film, which also features his Premam co-star Anupama Pararmeswaran in a prominent role.

Meanwhile, Suraj will be next seen in the Mohanlal-Prithviraj biggie L2: Empuraan. The film, set for a March 27 release, has him playing a politician named Sajanachandran. Notably, the actor's Tamil debut Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2, headlined by Vikram and helmed by Chithha director SU Arun Kumar, is also slated to hit screens on the same day.
