Jagadish is Chandrababu in Kunchacko Boban-starrer Officer on Duty

Directed by debutant Jithu Ashraf, the film is set to hit theatres on February 20

The makers of Officer on Duty, starring Kunchacko Boban in the lead, unveiled the character poster of Jagadish on Tuesday. The actor, portraying Chandrababu, is seen in a brooding pose while carrying a package in the poster. Directed by debutant Jithu Ashraf, the film is set to hit theatres on February 20. Ashraf has previously worked as an assistant director on films such as Action Hero Biju, Udhaharanam Sujatha, and Ela Veezha Poonchira. He is also known for his acting roles in Nayattu and Iratta.

Officer on Duty is scripted by Shahi Kabir, who previously penned Joseph and Nayattu, and directed Ela Veezha Poonchira. Billed as an emotional crime thriller, the upcoming film also features Priyamani, Jagadish, and Vishak Nair in key roles, with supporting performances from Manoj KU, Srikant Murali, Unni Lalu, and Ramzan. It has cinematography by Kannur Squad director Roby Varghese Raj, music composed by Jakes Bejoy and editing by Chaman Chakko. Officer on Duty is produced by Martin Prakkat Films in collaboration with The Green Room, headed by Siby Chavara and Ranjith Nair.

Jagadish was last seen in a cameo role as himself in Rekhachithram, directed by Jofin T Chacko and starring Asif Ali and Anaswara Rajan. According to the Kerala Film Producers’ Association, it is the only successful film released this year so far.
