The makers of Eko announced on social media platforms on Sunday that the film had crossed the ₹50 crores mark at the global box office. The film is directed by Dinjith Ayyathan, best known for Kishkindha Kaandam, and features Sandeep Pradeep, Biana Momin, Vineeth, Narain, Ashokan, Binu Pappu, and Saurabh Sachdeva in pivotal roles. Carrying the tagline, 'From the infinited chronicles of Kuriachan,' the plot revolves around the search for a mysterious man known as Kuriachan, and a misty hill station is where the secrets of this man begin to unravel.

Eko marks the reunion of Dinjith with almost the entire team of Kishkindha Kaandam, including writer-cinematographer Bahul Ramesh, editor Sooraj ES, and composer Mujeeb Majeed. The film is billed as the third and final addition to the ‘Animal Trilogy’ of films developed by Bahul, following Kishkindha Kaandam and Kerala Crime Files 2.

Dogs feature prominently in the script of Eko, and it discusses concepts of loyalty, guarding, and mastery, aside from the fluidity of identity. Directed by MRK Jhayaram under the production house of Aaradyaa Studios, the film was released on November 21 and received a lot of appreciation from viewers for its setting, content and performances.

After the successful theatrical release, Eko is all set for its digital premiere on Netflix on December 31, with dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Telugu languages.
