The makers of Mohanlal-Sathyan Anthikad’s upcoming film Hridayapoorvam released the lyric video of its first single 'Venmathi' on Sunday. The soulful melody, composed by Justin Prabhakaran with lyrics by Manu Manjith and sung by Sid Sriram, is paired with vibrant glimpses that carry a polished urban aesthetic, a departure from the familiar rustic frames of Sathyan’s earlier works. The visuals showcase Mohanlal and Malavika Mohanan sharing a warm camaraderie on screen.

Hridayapoorvam, set in Pune, also features Premalu-fame Sangeeth Prathap, Sangita, Siddique, Nishan, Baburaj, Lalu Alex, and Janardhanan in prominent roles. The screenplay and dialogues are written by debutant Sonu TP, based on a story by Sathyan’s son, Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum director Akhil Sathyan. Slated for release on August 28, the film marks the 20th collaboration between Mohanlal and veteran director Sathyan Anthikad, whose creative partnership has spanned more than four decades. Their last outing together, Ennum Eppozhum, was released nearly ten years ago in 2015.

Produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the Aashirvad Cinemas banner, Hridayapoorvam promises to be a heartwarming festive release. The film will arrive in cinemas this Onam, sharing space with other highly anticipated titles such as Fahadh Faasil’s Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira and Kalyani Priyadarshan-Naslen starrer Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra.
